This is Masdar City, the world’s first ZERO-carbon city.

The city runs entirely on renewable energy sources. And was made with energy friendly materials to help maximize efficiency. The whole city is built on an advanced energy grid which monitors the output of every single switch and appliance. In order to reduce its carbon footprint, Masdar City uses a driverless “personal rapid transport” system…

The repukes/teabaggers don't even want to spend the money to barely maintain existing infrastructure.
