Bully for them.

On edit: Seattle cops chastised by Feds for using "excessive force." The men in blue need to remember they are not paid to be worse than the criminals the public hires them to protect us from.

Who is an inactive ex-NYPD officer. He was bragging that there would have been even more cracked skulls.

A wise poster refuted his actions one by one, and he got even nastier. She then whipped out the fact that he was dismissed from the force for sodomizing an 11-year old boy (why isn't he in jail?) and only managed to get a pension because he filed several lawsuits claiming injury and negligence.

That's the attitude these thugs have.

Someone will be along shortly to tell you how courageous these men are and how you're wrong to criticize them. If we just lick their boots enough they'll be on our side.

be. There are even specific groups for minorities, such as 'Occupy the Hood' eg, so I don't know where you are getting that it is only middle class white kids. So no, I do not think it is about race. It is about the NYPD which is and always has been a brutal corrupt department, currently keep up with tradition, involved in several scandals having nothing to do with OWS.

They are scum and have been behaving this way as long as I can remember. All that is happening now is their brutality has been caught on video and shown to the whole world. There definitely is and always has been a race problem in the NYPD. And minorities have always been specifically targeted by them, partly because they are often poor and have no means of fighting back.

They are simply a brutal, criminal gang of thugs who get their kicks beating people up because they are weak, cowards who if they ever had to face someone without their weapons and without a dozen of them against one young girl, would run like the cowards they are.

Edited to add, many of them are Rush Limbaugh and Fox Fans and the chance to finally beat up what they have been told are 'liberals' is another reason they are thrilled with the opportunity. I hope many of them end up in jail before this is all over, and the much needed reform of that department will eventually take place because now the whole world is getting see what only NY's homeless and poor got to see until now.

I live in this world, specifically the NYC part of this world. The violent cops have been overwhelmingly white. The OWS protestors run the gamut in race, ethnicity, and age.

I have been part of the protests so I speak from first hand experience, as well as viewing photos and videos on my computer.

As for OWS trying to get labor on their side, they already have labor on their side. Several unions have already marched with OWS.

You can see it under the post by retired SPO Robert Buldoc.

This guy, Ed Tighe was bragging about his being on the NYPD force, and how the police officers were justified in their treatment of protesters.

She eviscerated his arguments about abusing protesters. She then qualified her abilities in heated situations as both a former service member and trained fire fighter (whom Ed Tighe, an NYPD supporter who said if it had been when he was on the force there would have been MORE people in the hospital). He called firefighters thieves.

She let that one go, and he got even more rude.

She then proceeded to pull up his credentials, his pension information (which is visible to the public) and then whipped out the fact that he was dismissed from the force for molesting (read: sodomizing - why didn't he go to jail!?) an 11-year old boy, and that the only reason he got a pension was because he filed a bunch of lawsuits claiming injury.

That tells you where a lot of these idiots in the NYPD who brag about cracking heads are at. He rapes a little boy, is dismissed from the force, manages to evade the prison we would all be in, gets a pension yet feels entitled to admonish people protesting.

I noticed Ed Tighe dropped out of the conversation after she brought up the child molestation charges brought against him. Though, I don't see so much in the way of him being convicted of anything, just losing his job but not his pension. The accusation takes place in 1998 and, if it's the same Ed Tighe, he's commenting on Facebook today.

According to this article, if convicted, he could get 12.5/25 years.

Hello all, In reference to the wannabe tough guy Ed Tighe, who thinks he was a skull cracking NYPD mans man!!! This creature destroyed a boy who became a man that took his own life! He took his life over what this demon did to him as an innocent 11 year old child! He took his life on September 13, 2009..... Wrote in his final letter to his heartbroken family of how dirty he still felt over what that innocence stealing scum bag did to him! And to hear this punk is receiving a pension for injuries??? Justice has not yet befallen this poor excuse of a human being.....he wil one day meet his creator and have to account for all that he has done....and believe me there are more that he has violated.i myself brought one of his victims way back then to be interviewed by police....and their response was....You guessed it."HEARSAY"!!!!! I guess the boys and blue stick together no matter how vile...this boy was bribed with video games in exchange for sexual favors!!!! Yet police said there was no evidence!! So....now.....here we are some 16 years later.....and this man is enjoying the fruits of his evil behavior on our dime!!! I hope you read this Edward Tighe!!! I hope you lose sleep every night over the pain and hurt you've cause so many....we will never forget!!!
