Extremism.
A powerful BBC documentary which exposes the myths created during the Bush/Blair years to initiate their "War on Terror" and which continue today under Obama and the GOP, to try and justify astronomical amounts of military spending, the reduction of civil rights and the NSA's Mass Surveillance programs.
Much of this threat [of international terrorism] is a fantasy, which has been exaggerated and distorted by politicians. Its a dark illusion that has spread unquestioned through governments around the world, security services and the international media. This is a series of films about how and why this fantasy was created. ~ Adam Curtis

It will be a real eye opener for a lot of people.
If you haven't seen it before, make some time to watch some of it over the weekend.
It was banned in the US but broadcast in several other countries.
Updated with a link that works.

(42,239 posts)but in general if you go here http://www.thedossier.info/ you'll find links to many of our UK BBC / Channel 4 / Guardian etc videos from the past.
If you use this path for example - videos then select oil then scroll down about 2/3rds you'll come to a three part series The Curse of Oil. Part 2 : The Pipeline is very informative.

(42,239 posts)In the UK we get them on everyday TV albeit some are late at night maybe just due to what the BBC et al consider to be limited attraction.
