What is the worst law that is currently in effect today? DOMA? Taft-Hartley? NAFTA? The Sequester?

(10,649 posts)The loosening of restrictions on the consolidations of media ownership, which enabled the 1% to gain control of > 95% of traditional media worldwide. As a result, most people remain ignorant about what their governments and big business are really up to.
The failure to regulate the credit derivatives market, which took the effects of the bad mortgages to a whole 'nother order of magnitude.
The repeal of Glass-Steagall, which meant that depositors' savings were/are at risk when the credit derivatives market blew/blows up (no, we still haven't regulated it).
The Patriot Act, which has been used as a basis to gut our Constitutional rights.
The evisceration of laws designed to support organized labor.
The laws and legal opinions shielding corporate management from liability for corporate crimes and conferring citizens' rights on corporations have also not been helpful.
