My daughters' elementary school talented and gifted teacher was gay. Nobody seemed to mind. I though it was odd that no one made a fuss since we have more than our fair share of RW nutcases here. Maybe they just didn't know he was gay.

Sadly he died too young of a rare liver disease. I was kind of surprised to even see one of those RW nutcases at his funeral.

14. Yes. Many, if not all, school districts have talented gay people working in them.

Some of the best insructors of my lifetime, have been gay. However, the USSC says the public school districts CAN fire them for being gay. Ask anybody knowledgable in school law or ask any gay public school teacher. If they do not know, they should.
