Latest Email from Senator Wendy Davis: Received @ 3:17 am

I have amazing news!

Just moments ago, Lt. Governor David Dewhurst announced to the Senate that SB5 is officially dead! Evidently, Governor Perry and the legislative leadership can hear our voices.

This amazing feat is because of you. I wanted to share this wonderful news as soon as I could.

Thank you so much for all of your encouragement, support, hard work, and most of all dedication and determination.

It is a great night for women and families in Texas and our allies across the country.

Your friend and, proudly, your State Senator,

Wendy

And Thank You, WENDY! We are ALL so proud of you and honored that you represent Tarrant County and the rest of Texas!

But for now go home and get some sleep. Stay Strong so you can continue to Fight for Another Day.

Wendy deserves ALL our support as she has our backs and we need to show her we have hers.

I am so proud of her. Dedicating oneself to what she just accomplished last night shows a lot of courage and character and I know for a fact she has both of those attributes plus many more.

And this is what candidate Obama was trying to convey to us during his 08 campaign. We are the Change We Have Been Waiting For.

However, Wendy is fighting for those of us who need someone to stand up to the bully t'baggers. And she courageously showed everyone last night she is up to the challenge.

HEY DNC, take notice of what courage looks like and how a filibuster looks like!

I'm also glad she kicked their butts. The only way they could stop her was with their 3 strikes and you're out rule. I bet they were surprised she showed such courage.

Absolutely amazing support for our State Senator, we Democrats in Tarrant County are so proud of her and her continued support of our values.

I definitely knew that the republicons would end her filibuster. No tea leaf reading needed. They are very transparent in their approach.

Sen. Watson, West, Van De Putte, and Zaffirini deserve cudos for their help in parliamentary procedures.

I met Kirk in 08, and receive his emails. He is a good debater, perhaps you deserve some credit for helping him prepare for his role as Caucus Chairman.
