JUNE PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST Final VoteThese are the final entries selected as the top three vote getters in each thread along with the next four highest vote getters overall.
The theme of the June photography contest is HDR
Submissions are limited to any HDR image. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. To create an HDR image, one must take multiple shots of the same scene at different f stops and use the appropriate software to combine all shots into one final image.
Use of Photoshop or other computer image manipulation is also encouraged. All the general rules for past competitions applies.
To learn more, I would invite you to go to http://www.hdrsoft.com/ which is one of the vendors of HDR software. In addition Adobe Photoshop and NIK Software market software for HDR processing. To see some examples of very good HDR images go to: http://www.hdrsoft.com/gallery/index.php
Please share your comments and help to keep this thread kicked.
NOTE: Skinner has authorized this contest be run in GD.
Thanks,

(36 posts)I liked "Made in the USA" because not only is it cool, it looks a little like a high-res pic of a Skyrim Dwemer ruin.

(24,854 posts)(one must take multiple shots of the same scene at different f stops and use the appropriate software to combine all shots into one final image), I found "Time Shift" to be the most intriguing.

(13,741 posts)If you varied the f-stop you'd have a different depth-of-field for each image and they'd look very strange when combined.

(4,913 posts)which are over/underexposed compared to the main shot. So if you have it set for 5 exposures, you'll get a set like: -2 -1 0 +1 +2
Usually, you can change the increment between exposures as well, to get a wider or narrower group.

(24,854 posts)to have a brief explanation by each entrant as to what was done to each photo to get the final composition. The talent of each entrant is just as important as the composition, imo.
As it is now, I voted on the most intriguing -- one that could be framed & hung on the wall as a conversation piece.
