I know the ones from the Heritage Foundation were shown the door quite quickly after President Obama, then Senator Obama, took the lead over McCain. Most of the other trolls are just here to cause annoyance and disruption.

In fact, I believe some of them would pay for the privilege - and if their sole purpose on the internet is to troll, then I guess the fees they pay to their internet service providers (or their parents pay for them) means they do pay for the privilege.
