At least California convicted Johannes Mehserle.
I took a lot of flack a few years ago when I stood up and said that, while Johannes I never believed he intended to pull out his 9mm pistol to kill Oscar Grant on that terrible night at the Fruitvale BART station, he was at least criminally negligent that we was guilty of, and was convicted of manslaughter. He was held accountable. The People of the State of California did its job.Mehserle will never be a cop. He will never be allowed to own a firearm, In Florida, there was even less grey area and the State of Florida not only failed to do its job, Zimmerman is going to get his gun back and is likely going to be a celebrity of the Right Wing. For all the smack talk about Califorina, I feel much better living here than I would in the "Sunshine State".
