(20,775 posts)and my take-away is that the prosecution had a gem of a witness but did not know it- OR - they ignored it. They left her out to hang when they should have been questioning her in a way that would reveal her perspective. She could have taught the jury what it is like to be black in America, that kids are taught to be on the lookout for sexual predators. Instead, the prosecution allowed her to be characterized in the most unflattering light such that she was diminished as a witness. Both sides took away her ability to speak for Trayvon.
Prosecution is talking big today but they are inept at best or crooked.

They did such a shitty job with their witnesses. At the very least, they were lazy and negligent. At worst, they deliberately sabotaged their own case.

(8,646 posts)2 legal analysts on CNN also said that there is no other explanation for the sheer incompetence. One of them said their clerks could put on a better case.
The prosecution was fucking pathetic. It had to be on purpose.
