Zimmerman will never see the insides of another Courtroom - move on people

Like it or not Zimmerman was acquitted. He will not be tried again, he can not be tried again. Two weeks from now he will be as irrelevant as Sarah Palin, but with a lot less money.

I agree with you. Greenwald has never given me any reason to distrust him, not so for this Admin.

Although i've voted for him twice I find Obama and his Administration a deep and bitter disappointment. At a time when we need a Democrat the likes of FDR more than ever what we get is something much much less; hardly a Democrat at all to my eyes.

A woman with close ties to George Zimmerman and his family told investigators that members of Zimmerman’s family were boastfully proud racists and that for more than a decade Zimmerman sexually molested her.

But I do agree that Trayvon probably did not think of himself as a child, so any fear he had of being sexually assaulted himself by Zimmerman would be based on the perception that he was gay.

I don't have much hope for the federal investigation, but I am hoping the Martin family proceeds with the civil suit. I don't want that bastard make one cent from a book or movie deal.

Plus, he could always commit another crime. Not out of the realm of possibility.

I have read reports that the Martin family has settled with the HOA, for some sum of money.

So why not go after Zimmerman?

1. He doesn't have anything. Sure he may profit in the future from a book or something like that...but there's nothing to get right now.

2. Disclosure. In a civil suit, the sky would be the limit. All types of nasty stuff about Zimmerman could be introduced; and, he could be forced to testify. But it goes both ways. We would get a daily dose of nasty stuff about Martin...every single facebook post, tweet, and photograph he has ever posted on social media. And, his school records records (grades and disciplinary) would come out. Why on earth would the Martin family want to drag his name through the mud...to get the big 'nothing' in assets that Zimmerman has?

1.) He most certainly can be tried on federal civil right violation charges...he has no jeopardy immunity on them. Will he be? Can he be? Yes. So please do not presume...especially when you do so by making factually-incorrect statements.

2.) He can be sued. That is almost a certainty, if only to insure he cannot profit off his notoriety.

3.) As LLP said: "don't presume to tell me when I need to get over something."

and you're right, he's not going to see the inside of another courtroom as a criminal defendant, including a Federal courtroom.
The only courtroom he might see is a civil courtroom and I have my doubts about that, Omara is moving for civil immunity which he'll probably get due to FL. laws on self defense.

On edit: He probably will see the inside of a courtroom again as I'm convinced that he'll pull an O.J. in sooner or later, hopefully not at the expense of another innocent life.

and I give less than a flying fuck on Zimmerman's ultimate fate...Hope he makes a million dollars...Make him the new NRA spokesman...Hell, send him an honorary DU membership since so many people here admire him and he's supposedly a 'democrat'...I just wanted to know the WHY (thank you for outing yourself, juror B37) and voice my reasons on why I believe the people involved got this very, very wrong...

Everyone knows that sadly Martin's case isn't the first and isn't the last...It isn't even the most RECENT...As a black male living in arguably the biggest "gun state", in a conservative community not unlike Zimmerman's, MY concern is how this gets prevented from happening again and again, so I don't get shot while walking my dog at night...
