Puppet Obama would nominate the 'devil' if his puppeteers demanded it.

Wall Street thieves
corporate tax dodgers
Bush holdovers
warmongers
Republicans

All choices Puppet Obama has made.

(Do you think Mr. Obama EVER intended to be the change we hope to see in this world?)

overshadowed by the victory of getting them appointed.
Yay!! The GOP blinked! So are we blinking.
Appointing a Ray Kelly is not a victory. The Martin case was all about profiling.

So is complete surveillance.

What think you about the dearth of responses to your rather appropriate OP? Frankly, I thought there would be a plethora of censuring rebuttals by now.

Of course, some on my IL might have chided you for criticizing Mr. Obama, and I wouldn't have a clue. Maybe they just use "trash thread," and hide what they can't bear to see. I've even had a post hidden for observing that ofttimes our idols have feet of clay, so maybe some folks have ME on IL.

At any rate, I thought for sure your OP would motivate a lively discussion. What say you?

I rather thought it might generate more of a discussion, too, but the one thing I have figured out in my roughly four years here is that sometimes, with the very heavy traffic this site sometimes generate, a particular posting can get lost in the shuffle. Sometimes, I do manage to post something that gets quite a response; other times, not so much. I've learned not to take it terribly personally. Cheers!

The teeth gnashing would be minimal and largely irrelevant. The no votes on his confirmation would likely be in the single digits and include names such as Rand Paul.
