Time for me to leave DU. Its been fun for the most part, but double standards are bringing me down.
I sincerely wish all of you the best of luck - keep up the good fight. I just don't have it in me to fight on two fronts.

43. I guess I am too stressed out. On permanent disability, have 2 adult kids living with and taking

care of me. Each has serious health problems of their own - with no insurance. And on and on........
It was the way I was attacked - I was dissing on Mitch Daniels from personal experience. And get trashed for being a Republican back in the early 70's. Got smart and left the GOP, but I guess in some views if one was once a Republican you are permanently tainted and still a shill for the GOP. Oh well...................

DU is important in that sense, as a means to an end, but not as an end. A lot of people seem to get really emotionally invested though, like it is an end. I've seen this in many posts that have been alerted to jury: people have gotten too invested, stopped having fun and using it as a source of direction rather than an end in itself.

I worked with Mitch the Bitch Daniels on Richard Lugar's first senate run. I was a Republican when

there was at least a small amount of integrity in the GOP. Daniels suffers from an acute case of small man syndrome. Everything he did was for his own benefit. Back then, very few people could stand him. He wrapped himself in the flag and wore his Christianity on his sleeve. He has no moral compass, guided only by his desire to rule over and suppress those who oppose him. Nothing he does surprises me.
