group plants marijuana plants all over German town

Cannabis plants spring up all over German town after campaigners plant thousands of seeds in protest against the 'demonisation' of the drug
Gottingen in Germany is sprouting Marijuana plants all over town
A group called 'A Few Autonomous Flower Children' sowed seeds in June
Members say the guerrilla gardening is to protest restrictive drug policies

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2372554/Cannabis-plants-spring-German-town-campaigners-plant-thousands-seeds-protest-demonisation-drug.html

Scores of the plants have sprouted all over the town this week to the fury of the local police and council.

A website shows dozens of photos of the cannabis plants blooming in public parks, allotments, gardens and window boxes all over town - with some even growing outside the local police station.

Police have been ripping out the illegal plants on sight but the sheer number of blossoming plants became noticeable in the past week.

A police spokesman said 70 plants had been removed so far - including the ones outside the police station - adding: 'Everything that looks like cannabis is torn out.'

I wish he'd visit here. We've had enough rain this summer to be able to grow something, but even the tumbleweed seeds seem to be dead.

I'm suddenly very inspired to do this very same thing. If I had the seeds or seedlings I would. Imagine if this happened all over the US.

Probably because seeds sell for $10-$20 EACH due to prohibition.

Colorado might be a good source very soon.

These days, not so many seeds, so not so much planting.

Weird, but I guess I see the point.

Unfortunately it will likely result in fewer home breeding projects, and less seeds for sale.

things quite a bit. Back in the days of cheap Mexican weed, seeds were plentiful enough that a lot of people who smoked it fed the seeds to their pet birds. I planted mine, here and there, wherever I went.

...police using infrared to discover marijuana plants.

The claim was that strawberry plants came up on infrared with the exact same signature as marijuana plants so the band was advocating endless fields of weed.

Fans claim any other explanation was just tossed out there to throw off the critics.

Göttingen has one of the oldest universities in Germany, part of our "ivy league" (others are Heidelberg, Tübingen and Leipzig). There have always been brilliant and open minded students and teachers.

And no, no Oktoberfest there. Never ever.
