(17,656 posts)Like that socialist Muslin from Kenya has been doing for the last 5 years with his Voodoo doctors down in the basement of the White House where his mom-in-law let him live while he gets on the internet and plays havoc with his fellow gangsta' buddies playing against other Doom playas!!
That's what!!!

(1,591 posts)Things are so much worse than they appear in the country, and they appear HORRIBLE. He'll flash a smile, be motivational, crack a joke and everybody will applaud.
And tomorrow not a damn thing will change.

(1,591 posts)The man is in the mud slinging cross hairs on every single syllable that comes out his mouth. Detroit is only the beginning, There are many more large city bankruptcies looming on the horizon. Detroit was not a surprise, it has been on the glide slope into a crash landing for a long time.
My hope would be that his speech will be more "financial reality based", with the actual horrible facts and brutal realities that will be required to overcome what is GOING to happen in the next few years, not just in Mich. But I bet the speech won't, he had the promise to be the reality based President, however he can't explain the truth for fear of what it will mean to future elections. There are serious financial black holes that are gobbling up the future of this country,..... polls, statistics and the irrelevant "unemployment figure" doesn't change the facts that are present in the lives and communities around America.
And the wheel goes round and round, for now anyway,...........until there is not enough grease to be "speeched" and we seize up one bearing too many,.. and the economic axel snaps.

(5,162 posts)It's been a long hard recovery.
We have a growing economy.
The worst is over.
We have people left behind.
We need to take care of that.
I am serious this time.
Really, I am very serious this time.
But Congress does not like me.
I cannot do it by myself.
I have plans.
I have had plans all along.
Congress does not like me.
Why won't they like me?
I try.
I will try again.
I have plans.
This time I am serious.
If they would only be nice to my plans.
I will have more plans too.
God bless America.

(3,891 posts)But there are no new proposals, or programs, or suggestions. Just that things are going well, but could be a smidgen better.
In other words, distraction from Snowden and the NSA.

(27,670 posts)and *why* we need to use half our nations tax money to continue spying and engage in military police missions undertaken to protect the profits of the 1%.
But it may be hard to decipher the real meaning of the speech due to the optimistic vague ambiguity of the content.
Just a guess, hope I'm wrong.
