Weiner Admits to More Lewd Exchanges but Denies an Addiction

Anthony D. Weiner’s mayoral campaign entered a dark and chaotic phase on Thursday as he admitted to having explicit online relationships with at least three women since he left Congress, and the woman at the center of the latest scandal appeared on television, remembering him as a “perpetually horny middle-aged man.”

Mr. Weiner, appearing shaken and at times rambling as he faced reporters, revised his previous estimate of the total number of women with whom he had engaged in sexual encounters online to 10, up from 6.
.....

“There are more than — there are a few,” Mr. Weiner, a Democrat, said with a stammer. “I don’t have a specific number for you.” Later, he tried to explain the sequence of his Internet relationships: “Sometimes they didn’t go consistently. Whatever.”

pretty much like him, but they have the sense to be single, no kids, and not in a committed relationship - and they are private citizens. I enjoy their sexting, lol.

I bet you could. He's probably still doing it. I really do see a lot in common with friends I have had who are problem gamblers/drinkers or druggers. and I don't think there is a thing wrong with any of those things or sexting. but I do recognize a similar - I can't stop this though I know it is destroying me - feeling to it.

Plus I'm probably way too old for his tastes.

and that he did not believe he had an addiction."

If he does not have an addiction to this behavior, then why did he not stop? He knew it was ruining his marriage and political career, yet he continues his sexting activities. It sounds like an addiction to me.

I think had he stopped and gotten help after the 2011 scandal people would be more likely to forgive him.

But if I were a NYC voter, I wouldn't vote for this guy.

Huma should have run--she'd have been the better candidate.

there are plenty of Republicans with money and no penis picture problems here who would take him out in a primary. so, no.

something compulsively that has hurt him and those around him before and that carries terrible life consequences... and all while acting like he's bulletproof.

But certainly not an addiction.
