Lots of counties in SC are basically feudal societies too. You don't have much of a middle class.

6. Allendale is the third world

All the Gullah people kicked inland to make way for beach developments like Kiawah. I'm surprised Georgia doesn't have any on the list. There's a whole batch of counties in Middle Georgia where the poverty rate is double the national average or more.
