66. When I first started watching it and the two grandmothers part began to play...

it was an awwww time, its grandmothers after all, then it goes into Alison Grimes taking it to McTurtle head on and ending with finding out one of her grandmothers had died but her other grandmother is still there, still fiesty, still taking it to McTurtle just like her granddaughter.

I went from awwww to whoa to WOW by the end of it. It really is a brilliant ad in so many ways.

In my Congressional district, either the Democrats don't run anyone or they run a sacrifice candidate that no one has ever heard of and who doesn't even campaign. I think Boxer's up again this year and I'm sure I'll kick in some bucks for her but she's pretty much a shoe-in. I'm looking for Congressional and Senatorial candidates in other areas/states to donate to. We're not talking huge amounts of money here but I know every little bit helps.

I'm speaking off the top of my head, here, but it occurs to me that many Democrats in Kentucky are probably older...harking back to all those wonderful New Deal, Fair Deal days......so presenting those two beautiful older relatives as her supporters is very smart.
