Manning sentencing trial: No Afghan national killed as a result of leaks

Brig. Gen. Robert Carr confirms on stand that

Via @kgosztola https://twitter.com/kgosztola
"Afghan national killed was not in war logs, Carr testified. So no person whose name was in war logs was ever killed as result "

"Brig. Gen. Carr testified Afghan war logs had 900-plus Afghan names (but no one was killed as result of disclosure)"

Via @nathanLfuller https://twitter.com/nathanLfuller

"Judge Lind affirmed that she would disregard testimony about the person the Taliban killed, as he was not connected to the releases "

The people trying to smear Manning are surprisingly coming up empty. His leak didn't kill anyone, and shined a huge light on the ridiculous things being done in our name.

Crucified for showing us and the world the truth. Funny world.

unfortunately, that person's name does not show up in the logs. I know because I searched. The reply to that fact was that Wikileaks scrubbed the logs.

There is no effort to keep to the truth. Anything and everything can be asserted without basis, and people lap it up. Orwell had a lot of points in 1984 that were critically important, but I think none so much as the power the Inner Party through the Outer has to rewrite history almost on the fly.

What can you do when everything you know about history is a lie, and you have no way to check it?

They knew it was false because the victim's name does not exist in the Wikileaks Afghan War Diaries database.

And very smart DUers contributed catapulting the propaganda when the could have easily done what I did. Search the database.

Bradley Manning's disclosure scared a lot of people. It took the mask off the Bush Admin...the problem is that we were still doing it, and there were people invested in keeping it all secret.

They retreated from the truth and took refuge in the idea that nobody should read what was released, because it was a "careless" disclosure of "too many documents that couldn't possibly be relevant." So, they didn't read it. They took the word of someone who said it had killed people.

Funny that it took the Gov't taking Bradley Manning to court to prove that what he did was a righteous and responsible act of a horrified citizen.
