Is it wrong to think that Snowden is a criminal AND the NSA needs massive reform?

I think the facts are simple that in addition to the press releases Snowden gave to Greenwald, he also stole computers with classified information. Those are serious crimes, regardless of what else Snowden made public.

Having said that, it appears that the NSA is obeying the law as written in regards to FISA warrants. It also appears those warrants are granted too liberally and with little or no review or oversight. That's a bigger problem with the law than the NSA itself. I would like to see congress step up and revisit the law and curtail some of the authority the NSA now has.

The NSA is only spying on terrorists and you should ignore the man behind the curtain

The NSA and Snowden both are criminal in this case. There are no heroes here.

Thing to do. He is a "criminal" in the sense that he has been charged with a crime while the criminal activities of several administrations go unpunished and uncharged.

I don't think the NSA is less criminal than Snowden, and like Chuck Toad stated in the form of a question (MSM asshole) if the NSA are Heroes, isn't Snowden ?

Medicaid, Social Security are being squeezed to the nth degree so that the budget can be balanced.

I also don't have complete faith that a nutty corporate sycophant president down the road would not sell citizens' private information to corporations about their consumers/employees/patients.

Those billions being spent on spying on all Americans will be an ongoing expenditure. It's a huge deal.

My priorities tell me Snowden is to be commended.
