Rick Santorum leads Mitt Romney by a wide margin among Republicans,
45% to 16%. Equal proportions (46%) of Santorum and Romney supporters are still
making up their minds about who they expect to support in the April Pennsylvania
primary. A plurality (43%) of Santorum supporters says that Romney is their second
choice for the nomination. Similarly, a plurality (43%) of Romney supporters says
that Santorum is their second choice for the nomination.
President Obama continues to lead all of his potential Republican challengers
in Pennsylvania. Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum are the Presidents strongest
challengers at the moment, but both trail President Obama by about eight points.
The presidents lead over Rick Santorum is smaller than it was in January. Newt
Gingrich and Ron Paul both trail the president by double digits. President Obamas
job performance and hard re-elect ratings show slight improvements in the state
since January.

(35,701 posts)I believe. Pennsylvania is very unlikely to go for Romney or Santorum in November.

(3,795 posts)This is advance planning on his part (in my opinion).
He's fascist to the core, but is smartly attempting to manage his perception to the masses.
If a RW nut gets the nomination and loses badly to Obama (looking more and more likely), Jeb really might be perceived as a savior to the the Republican base in '16.
I believe everything he says and does is for his future political ambitions and his alone.
He Isn't going to run In 2012.SOme still believe at convention they will turn to him.He won't run till 2016,and he will try to sell himself to public as moderate.

(3,795 posts)Everything he does and say still can be filtered through the lens of him trying to frame himself as a future President.
Everything.
And it seems he has already started to use the media pulpit to begin selling himself as a moderate, yes?
