(114,904 posts)what a bunch of malarkey.
I'm hardly a cheerleader for President Obama but blaming the him as you do for the country being in steep decline demonstrates a real lack of knowledge and a bias so apparent that it's laughable.
President Obama is not responsible, as you claim. That's far more the "accomplishment" of the republicans and the right than it is of any other entity or person.
I don't say it often but I think your op should be hidden.

(114,904 posts)doesn't mean it should be defended or on DU.
And there are plenty of opinions that are not acceptable here.
This reads like something from freeperville or other reactionary right wing sites.

(29,257 posts)I agree with your post and I have left. I will not be returning and I encourage my children not to either.
Until the day I die, however, I will use my voice to speak out against injustices committed by the US against its own people and other people of the world.
Do NOT let the "love it or leave it crowd" get to you. When you see the truth, you just know it and bullying from the cowardly should not sway you from speaking out.

(114,904 posts)I love how YOU declare that finding fault with this OP is "bullying". Bullfuckingshit. You do this all the time. Go ahead, call me cowardly. I speak out as much as anyone here about the injustices committed by the U.S. and you know that.
Blaming President Obama for all the ills of this nation is just ridiculous and demonstrates no critical thinking at all.

(37,573 posts)you say that "other countries have a better view of work/life balance"
and then you bemoan the fact that so many people in the US have "given up" on looking for WORK.
Maybe those people who have given up just now have a better view of work/life balance.
Personally I am looking forward to my early retirement when I can say "take this job and shove it" and drop out of the work force. When it comes to the labor force participation rate, I would love to be able to afford to be a NON participant.
