I have an HTC DNA. When I switched from HTC Incredible I had to upload again all my apps.
Well, I re-uploaded a compass app. 2 mins after using it the first time it suddenly started SNAPPING pictures!! I kid you not!! Every second another pic!! And no, it wasn't my phone doing it, I checked the gallery, there was nothing there.
BE CAREFUL WITH WHAT APPS YOU UPLOAD!

All you have to do is to turn geotagging off to prevent the phone from recording location data, or remove location data from photos right before you post them.
