If Booze, Allen, Hamilton=access to all the worlds emails....

and BAH = The Carlyle Group. And the Carlyle Group=Bush, Cheney, Neocons, Iraq War deceit plus trading daily on the stock market for financial gain. Then why wouldn't the Carlyle Group be using the info taken by BAH to enrich themselves? How are the rest of the countries and companies in the world ok with this? A private entity has access to all their trading info if it wants it and the only thing they have to go by is "trust us".

I've always thought the stock market was gamed but this is a touch ridiculous considering the money to be made from the info attained.

from Booze, to Carlyle, to the bushes could use the NSA info for profit. Since the only purpose of a corporation is to make a profit, using the NSA spying info for blackmail or mining it for business transactions would fit perfectly into any corporate business model.

And if they can do it, then they are doing it.

Look at what Google had been caught doing with respect to stray wifi signals while driving by residences taking StreetView pictures.

This is not something that is just "corporations". It's a (perhaps unavoidable) flaw in the "internet".

As will Greenwald. And any day now, Occupy will have the corporations on their knees.

I have no problem fighting the system and changing things but after a while, the hyperbole and unfulfilled promises wear thin.

It seems that instant results are favored by so many. Second guessing one's motives and actions has become one of America's great national pastimes (to borrow a phrase from Phil Ochs).

Perhaps he doesn't like the idea of being "droned" for exposing the fraud that we have all come to know as the world we live in. And maybe, just maybe, he was hoping he could force some significant change without full on exposure of all who participate... and maybe he wanted to keep some more damaging info for "insurance". It appears that full on exposure is coming as the PTB are unwilling to "do the right thing". And perhaps he was further exposing what is going on by letting us see how the "system" is designed by letting us hope that the right thing would be done only to actually see how bad it really is by seeing this cabal in action... as we are seeing with every passing event.

I'm willing to give these whistle-blowers some benefit of the doubt here as the circling of the bowl is speeding up while we argue about what is coming and not really taking any action to correct the situation... armchair problem solvers. They are staying out of country to retain their personal safety as they see what has become of those who have acted before them.

Personally, I suspect that it's all over but the scales falling from the collective eyes and the crying. I never saw this as a free country and now I'm certain that I was correct.

So flame on if you will but my speculations have been confirmed and no amount of flaming, name calling or verbal denigration from bloggers will change that.

If Snowden had the access he claimed, he could have changed the world by revealing actual communications of the TPTB, the 1%, or the corporate leaders, or the politicians, who enable them.

Those folks are using the same communications systems everyone else uses.

Snowden could have killed 2 birds with one stone.

By releasing the actual communications of "The Powers That Be", he'd shine a bright light on them, and on the scary programs all at the same time.

He and GG could be leaking those communications as the examples of how powerful the programs are.

For instance ... here on DU some one claimed that Obama had the local police crack down on the Occupy folks.

Really? Snowden should have been able to gather proof of something like that using the NSA programs against itself.

Snowden and GG should have a ton of documents that are not about the programs, but what you can gather from the programs ... and using it to destroy the real enemy ... the 1% who control it all.

But we don't see any of that happening.

"But we don't see any of that happening. "

And you never will. This isn't about revealing anything about Goldman Sachs or JP Morgan or Carlyle or KBR/Halliburton. It's about taking down President Obama.

Divide the electorate on the left into smaller groups so that the GOP's shrinking base maintains relative strength.
