The economy is really improving as is the job market but the GOP media doesn't want you

to focus on that. Just keep being distracted by...whatever. Home Depot and Lowes report biggest increase in profits in almost a decade.

in the bonuses they've been awarded.

Defense industry is doing right well too, as are the prison industry, the oil industry, and Mall Wart.

This is indeed the best of all possible worlds.

the M$M has always had a anti-Obama bias, I wish that would change but they seem to love to hate on him.

From three months ago.

http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/05/22/4056110/lowes-1q-profit-rises-but-results.htm

"Lowe’s has added about 150 employee hours each to about two-thirds of its 1,750 stores during peak weekday times in order to help close more sales. The company created approximately 9,000 part-time jobs to fill those hours, and the new workers are dedicated to the interior sales floor."

More jobs that will not support an individual or family.

Profits are soaring and the economy is worthy of praise.

You must be one of those people who thinks life is worth living. Worth having the time to promote good in society. Worth being able to live out your days as comfortably as possible. I bet you even think health care should be guaranteed and not just something one hopes to eventually have when they make it big. Such a dreamer you are.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/02/july-jobs-report-unemployment-rate_n_3690424.html

This article is dated August 2nd, 2013

Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke has said the official U.S. unemployment rate could mask the real problems in the labor market. He got proof of that in July's jobs report.

The unemployment rate dipped to 7.4 percent in July, the lowest rate since December 2008, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Friday, down from 7.6 percent in June.

But payroll growth was anemic, wages dropped and more discouraged workers headed for the sidelines, continuing the slowest job-market recovery since World War II.

"The U.S. job market appears to be stuck in the slow lane," Adam Hersh, economist at the Center for American Progress, a left-leaning think tank, wrote in a statement. "Despite the modest gains in this report, we’re still not moving fast enough to repair the unemployment hole or to deliver a pay raise for the majority of workers in America."

and maybe it is, but not from where I sit. I am a SNAP and Medicaid caseworker. I have yet to see a noticeable decline in applications for benefits. The past few months were some of my busiest in new and first time SNAP applications. In the cases where my client have found employment it is for part time and low wage work. People are still suffering, big time.

People who have money to spend at Lowe's and Home Depot and have homes to spend it on are doing well.
Older folks who lost jobs will never make it back. Folks who lost homes and their credit rating will never make it back.
For millions of Americans, a recovering economy will never effect their lives. We just forget about them because they don 't make the news anymore. Somehow they survive until they are gone and become a footnote in history.

The media wants the rest of the country to believe (and many Democrats/Liberals/Progressives are FALLING for it) that Chris Christie is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Things are great in the rest of the country - but they aren't here.

We rank 21st in job creation:
