Elizabeth Warren's letter to Adj. Gen. Holder asking him why haven't
the executives of big banks that practiced fraud on the American people
even been investigated.
It's 14 months between now and Nov. 2014. Going at this rate, Sen. Warren
will have fired up enough people to speak up and demand that more
progressive and liberal politicians run for office. I believe there are many
liberals in pink states who don't run because they feel the chances of winning
are too low. Some of them will be encouraged to run, and they will be less
timid about sounding progressive, because more Dems. will want them
to be so.
If anyone can turn things around, Elizabeth can, and will. I wouldn't be too
surprised if Democrats should win both houses of Congress in 2014 !
She sure must be sick and tired of all the timidity among the ranks of our
Democratic politicians!
Go! Warren! Go!

Warren is still on my 'shit list' from when she blamed President Obama for the republicans' obstruction of judicial nominations.
I know that 'lots' of folks think Warren can do no wrong - but I think she needs to lay off the Democrats and start griping more often about the GOPers

(7,018 posts)right. I think she has integrity enough to speak up against anyone, Republican or Democrat, for
wrong-doing. She has shown time and again that she is deeply involved in trying to prevent the
American people from being taken advantage of and being ripped off by the upper 1%. She is
one of the few who is not afraid to do so. I can think of two others who are like her: Sen. Sanders
and Rep. Grayson.
The damage done by the bankers to the nation is one of the biggest cases of corruption and fraud
in its history. Millions of ordinary citizens have lost their property and homes and have been
rendered destitute. And even today the Republicans are still doing their best to retain the deregulation
of business laws begun by Bush, Jr., so that they could continue in their crooked ways.
It looks like Elizabeth Warren has no intention of being a doormat, and I say it's high time that someone
like her has finally come along.

(7,018 posts)subpoenas was January, 2012, three years after the term of the present Administration had begun. The alleged misdeeds of these institutions had
started during Bush, Jr.'s Administration.
I also remember the large numbers of Democrats putting pressure on the
present Administration to do something. Then, of course, Obama was preparing
to run for his second term, and it would be nice to have something to show.
The other 2 items you mentioned took place even later.
Recently, Obama, himself, said that if he had been president in the 1980s, he
would have been considered to be a moderate Republican. What do you think he
was trying to tell us?
