John BOLTON Dodges Question From Vet & Insults Him-Fox Edits Out Booing & Replaces It With Applause

FOX edits, fakes applause for John Bolton pro-war statement

Bolton dodges question from anti-war veteran about blowback, insults him; Fox edits out the audience booing and replaces with it applause.

The 2-minute video is a public meeting of former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton responding to a US war veteran’s question. The video shows that FOX then edits-out the audience response to replace it with applause from a different person’s question. The proof is that the applause-segment shows a different person walking away from the microphone than the person who asked the question. The veteran testified that the audience booed Mr. Bolton’s answer.

JUST WATCH!!!

I don't even have anything more than an antenna for my TV and I really didn't think my question would make the final cut (for obvious reasons) so I didn't even go out of my way to watch the episode when it aired. Someone else who had been at the event messaged me on FB congratulating me for having made the cut, so I hopped online and found the episode. I was just going to put up the clip for family and friends to see when I caught the ridiculous editing job they did and figured I should point that out to people.

Glad to see this is getting some exposure. I actually posted about this yesterday. I'm the guy asking the question in the video. I'm amazed my question made the show at all! Not so surprised about the skulduggerous editing, though. Having been there and KNOWING that he got booed and being a filmmaker and video editor myself, it wasn't hard at all to spot the edit. I wish I had access to a higher quality copy, but it's pretty obvious that it switches from me with no hat and a dark green shirt with rolled up sleeves to a dude with a fedora and rolled down black sleeves. If you look around the 0:20 when the camera is behind me, you can see the guy with the hat standing there. All they did was use the (very meager) applause from the very next question. Very, very dishonest editing. I'm almost surprised they didn't try to make me get booed!

then they are truly fekked. A lie can hurt millions of people. Lying about iraq has cost this country and iraq, thousands of lives and has cost us billions of dollars. What lie would be for the "right" reason, and for whom? So, the truth, even if they don't like it; is worse than the lies told.

We, as a country, have truly gone down the rabbit hole, when americans who proudly wear those flag pins or wave it on their auto; seem to be okay with lying propaganda that pushes an agenda that helps global corporations OVER THEIR OWN DAMN COUNTRY AND ITS' PEOPLE!!!

How fekked up do you have to be to continue to believe the divisive bullshite against other fellow americans propagated by a network started by a cretin who wasn't even from this country?

I remember after 9/11, all the congresscritters putting on their little flag pins. Those pins were originally for congresscritters who actually served their country in the military. But, then, all of the chickenhawks could wear them. And there was faux, castigating some democrat for not wearing a flag pin. Because those pins were once a badge of someone who faithfully served their country in the military.

Yeah, faux viewers, keep thinking you're the real americans, while you get played by a network with their own agenda, which may not be in the best interest for our country or the majority of americans.

Sociopathic chicken st!ts like John Bolton are adept at using peoples principles against them. You'd have to be completely devoid of conscious to sit there and lecture people who served in a war you worked to create but would have never exposed yourself to danger of. Good on that soldier for standing up to that little rat. Men like Bolton should be constantly treated to open contempt. It's not like the media is going to do their job and call him out for what he is. It's up to us.

That Bolton is absolutely infuriating. Report it to your superiors –he’s telling you to be a whistle blower! Like it’s easy and no big deal. His own administration, and perhaps much more so Obama’s, sets out to crush and destroy whistle blowers. Think of what he would have said about you if you had followed his advice back then, he’d probably have tried to publicly destroy you.

Another implication of his, based on his Pulitzer Prize caliber weasel wording, was that you wouldn’t feel so bad if you had not committed war crimes and killed babies and instead simply followed US rules of engagement. Then you wouldn’t be so upset at your long history of war crimes.

My one call to the great Thom Hartmann was asking about the fact that, in our country, it is perfectly legal to knowingly lie on a news broadcast. Steel Trap Thom was all over it, as he once hosted the principals from the Florida Fox News station on his show.

How many Americas know that anything they learn in any American media can range to professional well researched JOURNALISM to absolute bullshit propaganda?

David West: Thank you for serving, thank you for speaking truth to power in the belly of the beast. Thank you for being a great American. Thank you for your contribution to this video. Lastly, thanks for being on DU. It is an honor!

53. Reinstate The Fairness Doctrine
Mon Feb 27, 2012, 11:48 AM
Feb 2012

The Fairness Doctrine will certainly help to get those propagandists off the airwaves.

The way we have it set up now, it is like you are in court, and the only person allowed to make a case against you is the prosecutor, and he is allowed to say whatever he wants...in fact, he can lie with impunity.

That is exactly what the Conservative movement has done in this country. They built a playing field where they are free to say anything in the name of free speech, and get away with the presentation of false information as being reliable enough to allow the listener to decide. Let's go back to the prosecutor. How bad a prosecutor would he have to be to lose any case before the court? There is no advocate for you that is telling your side of the story, there is no one there to say "I object" when the prosecutor lies, and you hear them call it fair and balanced justice.

If you cannot see that decisions that are based on false information are usually poor decisions, you need look no further than the Iraq War. No WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION, just mass distraction.

Reinstate the fairness doctrine, and you'll see Fox News fall.

I'm certainly glad I'm not the only one who remembers booing, because this video throws me off a bit. I'm definitely still right though that people did NOT applaud Bolton's answer. If anything the smattering of applause are for me trying to rebut Bolton or just people doing the typical clap

What you still don't see is the people in the back corner of the room where my seat was hugging me and shaking my hand and telling me Bolton can go, "Go F*** himself" as I'm on my way to my seat. Between that and the fact that I was practically seeing red listening to Bolton, I guess that is what is coloring my memory of the event. Still, pretty manipulative editing by Fox to make it look like that answer got applause.
