(16,327 posts)or care anything about it. To counter your token Manning hater I offer this:

Over 1,000 supporters of openly gay whistle-blower, PFC Bradley Manning, marched in the Bradley Manning Support Network contingent in the SF Pride Parade today. The anchors of KOFY TVs live coverage noted that it was the largest non-corporate contingent in the Parade, second only to Google overall.
The contingent featured former military strategist Daniel Ellsberg who in 1971 leaked the Pentagon Papers to the New York Times. Ellsberg, adorned with a pink boa, rode on a pickup truck declaring Bradley Manning The Peoples Grand Marshal.
The contingent featured dozens of supporters riding aboard a trolley car, the Brass Liberation Orchestra marching band, and a synchronized dance group doing a routine to Michael Jacksons They dont care about us. High above Market Street, an airplane dragged a banner reading Our LGTBQ Hero Bradley Manning.

(114,904 posts)your posts are a joke. And I daresay I'm not alone among DUers in that sentiment.

(923 posts)Thomas Beattie a trans-traitor too. Many trans* people have their own share of internalized transohobia and gender policing is not unheard of in the community.
That doesn't make it okay.
What Manning was convicted of does not change who she is or how her medical treatment should be handled.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
