Genocide Stage 6: Preparation

http://thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/russian-parliament-working-on-bill-to-return-gays-normal-life-via-free-ex-gay-therapy/politics/2013/08/26/73879

Vladimir Putin‘s war on gays just got worse. In addition to the law Russia‘s president signed in June banning any public show of support for LGBT people, now the parliament of Russia is working on a bill that would offer free “ex-gay” or “reparative” therapy on gay people. So-called “ex-gay therapy,” and the larger class of SOCE — sexual orientation change efforts — have been shown to be largely at best ineffective and generally harmful. Every major medial association has condemned the practice as harmful.

The “therapy” supposedly would be anonymous and voluntary. But given Russia’s current war on the LGBT community, how long would it be before the government-sponsored “ex-gay therapy” became not voluntary, but mandatory? Would those convicted of violating Russia’s “homosexual propaganda” laws be “offered” the option to undergo harmful conversion therapy in lieu of a jail sentence? The mind reels at the possibilities.

...

As Russian LGBT journalist Masha Gessen and many others have noted, Putin and Parliament are reportedly also working on a bill that would allow the Russian government to remove all children from LGBT and same-sex parents. Gessen is moving to New York to escape the possible removal of her children.

Wake up, people. It is "again." We still have time to stop this new holocaust, but since some people here still think that the persecution of LGBT is "horseshit" and a "revolting little political game" one has to wonder if we have the political will to do so.

I'd prefer to wait and see what the Russian LGBT community has to say about the Olympics. If boycotting them and denying such an economic boon to Russia wouldn't simply cause more anti-LGBT sentiment ("they cost us the Olympics!&quot , I'd be on board with it.

With you on everything else though.

They're already clamping down on protests around the Olympics.

Take them away. Vancouver is still in good enough shape to host them.

If Russia is becoming as homophobic as they appear to be, they will find the ways to blame their ill's on gay people anyway. Appeasement of their homophobia will change nothing.

the Nazi hosted Olympics. Mr Brundage said he saw no discrimination against Jews or others in Nazi Germany and in fact declared that the 'attack on Germany' was a conspiracy between the press and the Jews to harm the righteous German nation. Our American team denied the two Jewish members the right to compete in order to avoid insulting Hitler with their presence.
So some wanted boycott, Olympics said no boycott, America's actions were very bad, Jesse Owens won a medal and then came the systematic murder of millions of Jews, gay people, Roma people and others.
And now some say we should boycott, and others say it would be super wrong to boycott. History has a very clear opinion, if you ask me.
