I want Hardball back at 4 PM CDT.

Ed Schultz is a good advocate for 'our side', I guess.
That's not why I watched Hardball.

Matthews had a lot of interesting commentators (OK, 'Talking Heads' ).
Matthews explored.
Schultz cheerleads.

... then Ed would get the 6pm CT time-slot.

It would be better for Ed to have the 'later' time-slot, more folks would see him.

I wish they would take Chris Matthews completely off of weekdays and put him on the weekends

You would think the 8pm slot would be a pretty big deal. I used to watch MSNBC quite a bit when Olbermann had the spot, then less so with O'Donnell and Schultz. Now, I almost never watch Hayes's program. Why would they run off Schultz to replace him with Hayes, only to bring back Schultz just a few months (weeks?!) later.

I like Hayes, but his show and format just doesn't seem to fit in with the primetime crew. I would have just let Schultz take over his 8pm slot and maybe moved Hayes to the 5pm or 7pm slot. I would argue that Hayes is probably the host I am least likely to watch on a weeknight, yet he holds arguable the most prized time slot on the network. It just doesn't make sense to me.

I think Hayes's brand of news is best suited for the weekend or for earlier in the day.
