Pop music and sex and silliness

Heard a bunch of people getting in a tizzy about a former Disney starlet twerking on MTV. So glad I don't keep up with pop culture.

I'm not going to venture an opinion on the appropriate role of sex in entertainment.... Oh, hell, I'll give it a go. I like sex, I like the ladies, but when sex is put at the forefront it's just covering up a lack of product. When someone sells me beer based on ladies jiggling in bikinis, that tells me the beer is no good.

American pop basically holds as much interest for me as American macrobrews. It's all Budweiser. I'll appreciate a good American microbrew or something from Europe.

Musically, here's something from Europe. Katzenjammer. It's not often you see a balalaika deployed in public. (Triangle guitar.)

Her on stage dry humpapooloza and tongue waging porn pucker ? Kept me watching, till it was over,.. then switched channels.

I'm not encouraging her because I'll never own a Miley Cyrus cd, but if she wants to skank it up as a career ? I'll watch.

But a woman dresses in a skimpy outfit on stage and she's a slut and a skank.

I don't care if you don't like Miley Cyrus's music (or Beyonce's, Kesha's, et al.), but leave the slut-shaming at home. It looks bad.

The OP did not shame anyone for anything. He/she stated an opinion, and not even one on Ms. Cyrus as he/she freely admits to knowing almost nothing about the incident in question.

And BTW, Miley IS the musical equivalent of Budweiser. Hell she's not even that. At least Budweiser is in fact a beer, though a bad one. Ms. Cyrus is a complete fraud as a "musical" artist. Beyonce and Kesha, I guess we can grant them grocery store shelf macrobrew status. At least they have some identifiable talent though if they didn't appeal on a sexual level none of us would likely have ever heard their names.
