Those Thugs did everything possible to disenfranchise and economically push down minorities throughout their sordid terms. It would have been a thorn in the eye of the African American community for them to appear at the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. But more importantly, at least to them, is that they would have been booed had they dared to speak and spew out some cynical hypocrisy. Fortunately they figured it out and did not disrespect that beautiful event.

(4,750 posts)was Kanye West's comment that Bush didn't care about black people.
Not 9/11. Not invading Iraq. Not fighting for a presidency that the people clearly gave to
Gore. Not so many other stumbles, bungles, crony deals or war crimes. Just one person's claim that he was indifferent to black people.
Is there a reason for us to believe that then or now he DID/DOES care about black people, not to mention all of the not-black people who want our country to be fair and just to all Americans?
