Huge downburst. One hit near my home. It steel structures. One steel billboard was bent double. Trees were snapped off near the ground.

Beautiful and scary.

(58,162 posts)i`m pretty sure it is. the small trees in the one photo really looks like infrared film but it`s probably a digital shot. i used to shoot a lot of infrared back in the day but i think they pulled the infrared film from the market.

(60,327 posts)I use some film camera lenses on my digital, and have adapters to use on my old Canon student camera.
I just mounted an old K Mart 28 mm on my film camera. After the storms pass, I will shoot some film.

If the VA comes through with my hearing aids, I'd have a lifetime supply of Zinc Air batteries for an old Minolta.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
