I wonder if calling in the Congress might just solve everything

They may decide to go to war, or they may not.

They may decide to petition the UN, NATO, even the Pope, to decide on what to do with people who destroy their people with chemicals or any other weapons. Lots of debates must happen.

Negotiations could start that could very nicely put the MIC, the NSA, and the left and right warlovers out of business for a while. And maybe some kind of humanitarian aid...

I sent an email to the WH yesterday night and told them that the President might be wise to get out of this the same way PM Cameron did, who expressed contempt for the gassing but could not express contempt for the British constitution by ignoring the votes against getting involved. I said this before anyone else on TV said it. I mentioned how Cameron is not suffering for his choice regardless of what we think. And said that he too may have contempt for the gassing, but should he carry it so far as to show contempt for Constitution by ignoring our laws of engagement.

Just heard Charlie Rangel call for reinstatement of the draft. Last night some general said that we don't have boots to put on the ground whether anybody wants them or nt....

It was a brilliant move, once and for all, the debate about Iraq will be aired, and how could we ever have the high moral ground when we are harboring war criminals ourselves. It's a coming to Jesus moment, I too welcome the debate.
