Tim Kaine just cut Andrea Mitchell off at the pass.

She was trying to gin up controversy over the President playing golf this afternoon and he basically told her that a little R&R with all the stress doesn't hurt. That he's certain that all do seriousness has been given the issues and good thought has gone into making the decision. Now it is up to a Congress to do their job, one that they have avoided doing for a long time.

Thank you, Mr. Kaine.

Mrs. Greenspan has never shied away from this kind of shit in the past. The only thing that surprises me is that she was the first with this crap. The propagandists over at FoxNoise must be asleep at the wheel today. Or, more likely, their brains are short-circuiting over the fact that the President dropped this whole Syria thing into the laps of the do-nothing Congress. They want to bomb Syria, but so does Obama, and if Obama is for it, they're against it. They don't know what the hell they're supposed to think right now.

the President's decision and the Reuters' guy apparently has an issue with the golf game too.

I'd have more respect for these journalists if they had raised some of the concerns during the Iraq War lead up. We might not be in such straits now had they done due diligence back then.

Andrea Mitchell is all concerned right now and she's flogging the "projecting the weakness" horse now.

For Mitchell, it may mean the difference of whose cocktail parties she gets invited to.

Seriously, I remember an interview I saw last year with a former war correspondent who said returning to cover war zones was like an addiction. He said it was an adrenalin rush to be in the midst of so much conflict. I wish I could remember the guy's name.

Republicans are making lots of hay from the President playing golf, although both Bushes and Clinton played often. The President should be aware of republican misguided mouth speaking and do something that defeats their bullshit. On a practical sense, the President has advanced communication capability with him at all times and is as capable of doing his job on the golf course as much as when he is in the Oval Office.

she is the vilest witch on national television. Her little Mona Lisa smile is hiding a multitude of ugly thoughts. During Iraq she was working overtime to cover up all the big and little lies of the bush administration. She was caught dead on a couple of times, but she has a lot of connections and I'm pretty certain she knows where a lot of the bodies are buried, so even though there was a little bit of a dust up, it was quickly swept under the rocks. I have a feeling that someday in the far future when all is revealed about this "lady" we will see that she spent as much time trying to steer history as to report it.

She appears to be trying to be Hillary's communications director sometimes. Personally, I don't think she has any real skill or talent for the job she has and appears to be more of a name dropper and gossip monger. And she's heavily invested in trying to pit people off against one another. She did return to the golf game deal after Kaine was gone and rehashed it with Cilliza (ugh) later. She also took a stab at the "Obama's weak now" meme then.
