From LiberalAmerica.org;"Sex is about the pro-creation of children. Its a sacred responsibility and is meant by God for men and women to commit their lifetime to children."
Because so many people are lined up to pro-create with this dude, eh? Ill bet its his wife who worked to get him to this paradigm .
Corsi even hinted that the Founding Fathers may have foreseen same-sex marriage and worked a protection against equality into the Constitution.

(43,123 posts)Jerome Corsi is a holier than thou Catholic, which is probably the source of his nutty statement.
Practically every book he has written has been fact checked and found to be ridden with inaccuracies, outright falsehoods, and misrepresentations.
He even wrote a book with Kenneth Blackwell! You remember him, of course--the Ohio secretary of state who helped bush steal the election.
He called Martin Luther King a "shakedown artist."
Any medium that has this nut case on as a commentator is bottom of the barrel.

(2,347 posts)...by the Village Voice, asking folks if they would rather go without sex, or without laughter.
The responses were pretty funny, of course. The only two I remember are: "Laughter, because without it we'd all be sad fucks", and the last: they found some guy in the Reading Room of the main NY Public Library, looking, they said, like he'd just returned from a long trip to Alaska. "Eskimos", he said, "would not understand your question, because in their language, sex is described by a word that also means 'to laugh together'".
So there.

(126,116 posts)Following this theory of the late Lord Russell, one should search for an appropriately crankish response, whenever one actually needs to respond to a crank. For such a response to the lunatic Corsi, perhaps a quote from Wilhelm Reich would fit:
... Fascist mysticism is orgastic longing under the conditions of mystification and inhibition of natural sexuality ...

(5,739 posts)Let me get this straight
The founding fathers predicted a social debate 200 something odd years in the future, yet it was cyrptic enough that it took this clown to finally find it.
But they couldn't predict that slavery, which was an actual social issue of the time, would plunge their country into it's bloodiest war less than 100 years later.

(37,350 posts)But as a subset, this type of thinking is all about religion, one of the more fucked up consequences of religion.
And it should be attacked at the religious basis.
People have the right to believe whatever they wish, but they are not free of people questioning those beliefs.
Art_from_Ark
(27,247 posts)For example, it seems to be the prevailing attitude here in Japan, which is not a particularly religious society: "OK, buster, we've met our baby quota, so from now on it's separate beds".

(37,350 posts)or sex in marriage isn't necessary? Do the people have sex with other people/
Here in the US, Corsi's attitude is pretty much exclusively religious.
Art_from_Ark
(27,247 posts)(at least among women) that sex isn't necessary after the parents decide they've had enough kids.
But... there are lots of Japanese web sites that can arrange for rendezvous between men and young ladies, and there are red light districts around certain (but not all) train stations, as well as plenty of no-tell motels (known as "love hotels" in Japan).
edhopper
(37,350 posts)A little different from the "all sex is sin" idea that some Christians hold. Of course it often turns out these Christians are "sinning" like there is no tomorrow.
Art_from_Ark
(27,247 posts)Attitudes towards sex in Japan are an enigma wrapped in a riddle wrapped inside a mystery.
On the one hand, there are quite a few video stores that carry hundreds, if not thousands, of adult-oriented DVDs, but nearly all of them are censored, with strategic body parts covered up or blurred with "mosaics". Comic books that aren't expressly oriented towards younger kids often contain sexual scenes and themes, and there are plenty of girlie magazines on the racks of convenience stores.
However, Japanese TV has become quite tame in the past 30 years. Up until about 1999 or so, some late night TV programs would show women stripping everything off (with the pelvic area blurred out), or maybe women rubbing their naked breasts and saying, "Ummm, that feels so good". And sometimes American R movies would be shown on daytime TV uncensored except for the occasional blurring of an exposed pelvic area. But it seems that has all been replaced by one boring talk show after another.
Then there are the regular motels. If you get a room for a married couple at a "legitimate" motel, chances are you'll get two small, separate beds. When the local university unveiled its new housing complex for married students, it was met by complaints of bedrooms that seemed to have been modeled after some old '50s movie-- two small beds, and a nightstand in the middle.
And it wasn't too long ago that the only legally available birth control in Japan was the condom. For a long time, the Japanese government refused to allow legal access to The Pill on the grounds that it would "encourage promiscuity among young women". Today, 14 years after The Pill was finally legalized, it still does not seem to be too popular outside of the sex industry, because of concerns about possible adverse effects down the road, and because of fears among women that their doctor/druggist, etc., might think of them as promiscuous if they get a prescription.

(37,350 posts)by animated Japanese porn. Not the cartoons themselves, but the very fact of their existence. In America i think a porn company rents a place and in a day or two shoot a movie with the actors. There may be a script but their isn't a lot of pre or post production. But knowing what it takes to make an animated movie, I find the whole the amount of work need to make an animated porn amazes me.
This isn't an endorsement of porn, animated or otherwise, just an observation that I somehow find interesting.
