WikiLeaks Criminal Complaint Claims U.S. Seized Leaked Garani Bombing Video

Andy Greenberg, Forbes Staff
9/02/2013 @ 6:55PM

.. video of an airstrike on .. Garani that killed as many as 60 civilians has been a loose thread in the story of WikiLeaks. Army private .. Manning .. admitted .. leaking the video ... But WikiLeaks never published it. Now Assange says he’s filing a new legal claim about .. that video ..: Illegally seized by the U.S. government.

In a statement .. Monday, WikiLeaks says it plans .. a criminal complaint against the U.S. government in Sweden Tuesday ... The complaint .. accuses the US .. of taking a suitcase containing .. Assange’s laptops .. during a September 2010 flight from Stockholm to Berlin. Those .. hard drives, Assange claims, included the .. massacre video, as well as evidence of US surveillance of Assange .. and .. communications between Assange and his lawyer ...

In early 2010, WikiLeaks suggested in a tweet that it had .. an encrypted copy of the video and asked for .. access to supercomputing .. to .. decrypt it. Later WikiLeaks wrote that the file had been destroyed by .. Domscheit-Berg, who left the group in the fall of 2010 ... Domscheit-Berg .. confirmed .. he destroyed .. cryptographic keys .. of the files he took, but denies that the Garani video was part of the collection ...

Assange remains in the Ecuadorean embassy .. to avoid extradition to Sweden .. for alleged sexual misconduct ...

5. St Julian, the Blessed Martyr, has at times advanced some miraculous legal dogma

Sep 2013

A few years back, when The Guardian failed to comply completely with The Martyr's dicta for publication of the cables Manning had sent him, he threatened to sue, citing his belief that The Guardian was damaging his financial interests, which (he thought) must derive from his "ownership" of those cables

The Guardian somehow not retreating in the face of this threat, no suit materialized -- and a most natural guess might be that, when Julian the Blessed consulted counsel more competent than himself on these matters, he was advised that his non-standard creed of ownership and financial interest would likely find little favor in actual Halls of Justice

Sep 2013

1) He's filing a criminal complaint in a nation where he is wanted for questioning on a rape charge;

2) He's finally admitted that Berg didn't steal the documents; and

3) He checked his laptops.
