We are going in regardless of what happens in Congress, sadly. And I do believe they will muster enough votes to do so to avoid the risk of our looking weak or of his acting without support. But in listening and watching this all unfold, it's looking pretty unlikely that we will simply turn back now. Sigh.

Maybe do something that will help ordinary Syrians and hurt Assad and not benefit Al Qaeda.
