I realize that DU is more than a little to the left of the Democratic "mainstream", but we are still a part of "the base, so the results should prove instructive.

(24,088 posts)I have resolved to give more weight to the opinion of anonymous internet yakkers, and that seems like a GREAT place to start! Plus, I would hate to waste any more of your precious time by cruelly and ruthlessly forcing you to reply to "pointless" threads.

(72,790 posts)For one, I knew Obama would win my state (Connecticut) by a decent margin.
Would never vote for Romney but really have never been a huge fan of Obama so I decided to vote third party.
I like having options, although I knew it was either going to be a D or R that would win.
But, I am sick of voting for the lesser of two evils. The lesser of two evils is still evil.
