A group of protesters sprayed graffiti on the walls of the Embassy of the United States in Brasilia last Wednesday afternoon (6). (...) They wrote sentences such as "no spying on Brazil" and "Viva Syrian People". The protests are against the imminent war on Syria announced by the US government and also the allegations of espionage against Brazilian authorities and citizens. (...)

According to the note released by the Union of Socialist Youth, which organized the protest, says that "Barack Obama's decision of attacking Syria is a grave violation of that country's sovereignty, and will be done marginally to International Law, the United Nations Charter, and trampling over the Security Council." This is the poster used to announce the protests:

It reads: "The world doesn't need another Iraq. Be aware of the mediatic campaign to criminalize the Syrian government orchestrated with the clear intention of deceiving the public opinion to support a foreign intervention led by the United States and its allies in the Persian Gulf against a country that resists the meddling of the Kings of Wars. A dishonest attempt of repeating recent history in Iraq".
