Come on mothers, throughout the land. . .send your boys off to Viet Nam. Be the first one on your block to have your boy come home in a box. Country Joe McDonald's song from Woodstock can't be more prophetic as now we're looking to ramp up another war in the Middle East and the typical warmongers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) can't decide whether to hate Assad more, or hate Obama more. Other than that, Jim DeMint (7) might be the dumbest SOB ever, and the Bachmanns (10) may spend a long time looking through bars. And as always, don't forget the key.

Rand Paul
Okay, we start with Kentucky Rug Doctor Rand Paul this week. Apparently, he is against Obama's desire to put large holes in another middle eastern country (which a lot of people can agree with, as do I. Wait? I agree with something Paul said. WTF!?!?!) But it's his logic in praising Bashir Al-Assad that makes people question whether he has removed his head from his ass. You heard right. . .Assad is a brutal, murderous, despotic dictator, but he's the bee's knees to Paul because he protects Christians. (?)
[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Sunday portrayed the current conflict in Syria as one between the government of President Bashar Al Assad, who Paul said "has protected Christians for a number of decades," and "Islamic rebels," who Paul said "have been attacking Christians" and are aligned with Al Qaeda.
"I think the Islamic rebels winning is a bad idea for the Christians, and all of a sudden we'll have another Islamic state where Christians are persecuted," Paul said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
Let's translate that. Al Qaeda murdering muslims = who gives a shit? Al Qaeda murdering Christians = Bad, bad, bad. After all, if Muslims wants God's protection, they should convert to Christianity and give the souls to Jesus.
Hey, Rand. . .does it bother you that your good buddy Assad also kills women and children in his attempt to hold power? Any word?
Didn't think so. So, the next time Assad's forces murder children and women. . .please praise Assad by saying nits make lice. Then take your head out of your ass and your sheets off.

Joe Lieberman
Remember this guy? He was Al Gore's running mate in 2000, probably Gore's biggest mistake of his campaign (that he won). Well, Joey tried to run for president in 2004 and pretty much got told by the Democratic Party that he wasn't wanted.
So, what did Joey do? We went all Zell Miller on the Democrats, sided with the Republicans as much as he could and became the Democrat's independent headache, going so far as losing a primary to Ned Lamont and running on the Connecticut for Lieberman Party ticket. He left the Senate in 2008 and Connecticut has a real Democrat that took his place.
But that doesn't stop Joementum from popping up occasionally, spouting a turd of wisdom or two, then going back into obvilion. With all this talk about going to war with Syria, Joe thinks it's a good idea. . .however, he doesn't want Obama to follow that pesky Constitutional mandate of getting Congressional approval for war. He wants Obama to go all in without Congress because our enemies are cheering Obama's desire to follow the law.
[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Former Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) on Sunday blasted President Barack Obama for asking for Congress approval before launching an attack on Syria over the President Bashar al-Assads alleged use of chemical weapons.
I was looking back, Lieberman told Fox News host Chris Wallace. Over my 24 years, never saw anything like it.
The former senator insisted that the president now had authority to act and that it would be catastrophic if Congress did not give the green light to attack Syria.
You love the war idea so much, Joe? Send your family members to fight it. Don't like the American Constitution. . .nothing prevents you from running for president again on the idea that the Constitution is just a damned piece of paper.
So, what will Joe do to get his beloved war?

Speaking of Joementum's good buddy John McCain, Gramps seems to really love the talk of war. The formaldehyde used to keep his body moving heats up when he hears that the US military can kill brown people in the Middle East. It makes him come alive.
So, he would be truly interested in the participating in the hearings on the soon-to-be Syria mistake. He would give insights into military ideas. . .he would use his street cred as a military supporter to bolster support for the latest middle east mistake. He would do everything to make his wet dream of killing more Muslims a reality. Not so much.

"But the worst thing about it is I lost thousands of dollars in this game."
He followed up, saying it was only "fake" money.
Oh, you got bored. Then retire and spend the rest of your life at one of the Indian Casinos in Arizona. I heard Casino of the Sun in Tucson is really nice. So is the only on Verde Valley between Phoenix and Flagstaff. Afterwords, you can pine about the good ol' days when the US could kill brown people without a debate.

House Republicans
So, Obama wants to blow up Assad. McCain and Graham want to blow up Assad so bad, their dicks are hard (to quote Ice-T from New Jack City). We need to get the House Republicans back to vote on this measure. Will they come back to Washington early to debate and vote on this important issue? Surely, you jest!

Under the Constitution, the responsibility to declare war lies with Congress. We are glad the president is seeking authorization for any military action in Syria in response to serious, substantive questions being raised. In consultation with the president, we expect the House to consider a measure the week of September 9th. This provides the president time to make his case to Congress and the American people.
Nothing gets in the way of goofing off! The Do-Nothing Congress lives up to its name again.
If they thought they had the votes to overturn Obamacare, they'd be back yesterday. They tried 40 times already.
After he gave that joint measure, Cantor went home to kill a few more kittens, while the Ohio Tearduct ran back to the bar and lamented, over Johnnie Walker, that that mean old black guy is stealing our warmongering issue from us. Then he cried for two hours and passed out in a vatt of fake tanning spray.

Welcome back to the list, Lucky Louie! Louie Gohmert (R-Mars). He wants a war badly. He will lie and speak untruths to get it. Even lies that have been debunked years ago.

Louie Gohmert (R-TX) insisted that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, even though the governments Iraq Survey Group found that the country did not possess such weapons or the capability of producing them. Yes, we knew that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, Gohmert said on Washington Watch, citing Saddam Husseins 1988 gas attack against Kurds in Halabja.
There were rumors about them moving over into Syria and other countries but they never were able to verify where they went but we knew he had them, the congressman charged, referring to false claims that Iraq moved its weapons to Syria. There was talk about nuclear arms, but we knew he had those and now we know Syria has them.
Okay, I am going to pick up my bottom jaw from the floor. I shouldn't be surprised with this obtuse idiocy from Louie's mouth. Lord knows he's said dumber shit more seriously. Anchor babies, terror babies, civil rights for vermin and rodents. . .the list goes on and on. But Louie is just one loose cannon. Surely others in the House aren't as stupid as Gohmert. Wait. . .what? I need to listen to what Lee Terry (R-Pluto) said. Okay. . .

Lee Terry (R-Neb.) said on Thursday that he is against military intervention in Syria, even though his "gut feeling" is that the Syrian government now possesses chemical weapons that came from fallen Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
Terry, who has served in the House since 1999, supported the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003. In an interview on Thursday with Omaha radio host Tom Becka, Terry said Syria was a completely different situation.
"The theory then and the evidence was that Iraq was an enemy of the United States and had direct plans in either support of al Qaeda and/or with other weapons that we found out weren't there -- which I still think they were moved to Syria," said Terry. "And it wouldn't surprise me if some of the chemical weapons that have been used by Syria actually came from Iraq."
His gut feeling? No evidence. . .no nothing. . .just a gut feeling. Okay. I have a response for both Gohmert and Terry, since both love the idea of using this lie as a reason to go to war. Rachel Maddow refutes this eloquently. . .but I am a fan of the Rude Pundit, so I will refute both with a photo I stole.

I know. I promised not to include small timers on the list. And the Worst Speaker of the House in the history of Western Civilization a small timer.
But he just said something to stupid that I needed to include the Ohio Tearduct this week. Remember Syria? The first five entries are about it. Agent Orange seems to have a better idea to debate. In fact, he believes the debate to defund Obamacare needs to be included in the Syria debate. WTF?

Jim DeMint
Current Heritage Foundation and former South Carolina senatorial uber-loon Jim DeMint is back in the news. It's been a long time since he poked his head out of the ground. Remember him, though? He spent numerous press conferences supporting birther issues, railing against things like minimum wage and trying to convince people that Guns are more important than speech.
Anyway, the Demented one went to Wilmington, DE for a townhall on health care and Obamacare. He has rather interesting ideas about Medicare and public health.
[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Heritage Foundation president and former Senator Jim DeMint suggested to a town hall audience in Wilmington, Delaware Thursday that health care programs like Medicare and Medicaid are un-American and built on the principles of socialism and collectivism.
I cannot think of anything thats more un-American than national government-run health care, DeMint said. Those who believe in those principles of socialism and collectivism weve seen over the centuries, they see as their holy grail taking control of the health care system.
You can't think of anything more unAmerican. Maybe he's right. I mean, slavery was an all-American ideal. So was 16 hour work days. Child labor. . .etc. Does he honestly think that the NSA spying on American citizens isn't unAmerican? He more than likely supports that. . .since the Heritage Foundation believes in law and order in their mantra.
Please proceed, Jim.

[Health care is] such a personal service, its such a big part of the economy, he said. If [Democrats] can control that, they can control most areas of our lives.
Okay, Jim. I can accept that health care is a personal service. It's between the patient and the doctor. . .and the hospital that wants money, the insurance company that will determine if the care is necessary, the lawyers looking to make sure no one can get sued and the person the insurance company uses to try to screw the patient out of coverage. Medicare and Obamacare are actually showing to work better than private insurers. And most of the people that use it are elderly, disabled and poor. Would the Heritage Foundation have a problem with that?
Of course! People with access to doctors are unAmerican. If you don't have the money, just die quickly. Isn't that what Jesus said? Caring about your neighbor and being community minded is just Communist, socialist, fascist idea. Americanism means telling your neighbor to go f themselves while their house burns down, then suing them if your house gets damaged.

Sikiyou County is a beautiful place. In the Cascades, with Mount Shasta towering over it, the landscape is just mind blowing. I've been in the area and it's one of the five most beautiful places I have ever been in my life.
Sadly, the people there are complete idiots and elect morons too. Not to be outdone by the morons in Weld County, CO, the county supervisors of this place want to secede from California.

More than 100 people packed the supervisors' chambers late this morning for a discussion on whether the county should issue a declaration that it wants to secede from the state. Nearly all those in attendance appeared to be for the move.
Included in the audience were 300 beavers, a couple of elk and some guy named Steve who just muttered incoherent slogans about freedom while wearing a tea-bag on his hat in a shirt with the Stars-And-Bars on it.
The vote was 4 1. Why the dissent from the stupid?

You know, all this talk of secession is getting annoying. Liberal states don't scream secede when Republicans are in power. How many people in Madison are screaming to secede because Scott Walker is a jackass? Anyone in Maine? Ohio? Florida?
Rick Perry started this bullshit. Rick Perry is to blame. Rick Perry is a pox on life. And my attitude is let them secede, so long as liberal parts of states can secede from Red States. I'm sure Rick Scot would love to get rid of Miami, Orlando and Tampa. Oh. . .and Washington DC becomes a State too. As does Puerto Rico.
So go ahead, Siskiyou County. . . secede from the 7th largest economy in the world. You'll become the poorest state in the country.

I do not know this guy's political party, or even if he's conservative. But damn, does he deserve to belong on this list this week for his massive brain fart.
G. Todd Baugh stepped in it when he decided to sentence a rapist (child rapist at that) that raped a girl in 2008 (who killed herself in 2010) to a prison sentence of thirty days. Now, he's in full CYA mode and wants to amend the sentence.

District Judge G. Todd Baugh drew wide-ranging protests in late August after he claimed a teenage girl was older than her chronological age and as much in control of the situation as her creepy teacher.
The teen, Cherice Moralez, committed suicide in 2010 while the case against teacher Stacey Rambold was pending.
Nice. During the sentencing, he blamed the victim for being in control. Because children are always in control of being raped by their teachers!
While you chew on that, understand that the courts refused to allow him to re-sentence. Can't put the fart back in the elephant.

The Iowa and FBI investigations are centered on secret payments that her campaign made to state Sen. Kent Sorenson in exchange for his support and help in the 2012 Iowa caucuses. The House Ethics Committee is investigating Bachmanns potential misuse of staff and campaign finances to promote her poorly selling biography Core of Conviction.
Conviction. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

As to the Syrian matter, something needs to be done but of course and on cue the corporate media quest for ratings plus being owned by RWers and of course puts down on Pres O and Dems. Fake articles circulating across the internet and by george many posted here as gospel.
Media Matters is a well know respectable internet site that tries to reveal the total lies and BS of the Right wing. Guess what, the right wing have embraced Putin because he is against Pres O and of course against gays. Matt Drudge has called Putin the leader of the free world. Now that is sick.
