1. It's all about stirring up people's emotions so they're not

thinking clearly. Look at all the dead children! We've got to do something! Nobody asks how many children the rebels have killed. There weren't any cameras around when they bombed neighborhoods. Both sides in this conflict have killed a lot of people. There isn't a guilty side and a righteous side. If we get involved in this, it will simply be because it suits the interests of certain people.
