Making the Cowboys 1-0, and providing a respite from news and politics. Looks like somebody is very happy.

When and if The Romonians make it to the playoffs and win ONE game, get back to me.
Cheering for them is like rooting for Wile E. Coyote.

Unfortunate, but probably true! I'm not laying the last few seasons on Romo though...they had a swiss cheese offensive line last year, and Garret should have been gone two seasons ago...instead they fire the defensive coordinator and grab offensive backs over the off season. Jerry jones doesn't care, he's got his new high tech stadium!

13. Sorry. Romo has never come through in the crunch.

He has had many other guilty helpers though.
Until Jerry Jones gives a good GM or coach who knows personnel control, he will never have any consistent success. If he wants to be the decider, fine. However, he has proven he does not have what it takes to build a great team.

I watched Bobby Beatherd build the Redskins into Super Bowl champs and contenders. He did it through the draft, but more importantly he could find talented free agents. He gave Joe Gibbs, a great coach, very good players to work with. Gibbs, to his credit, was more than up to the task of using those players to the best advantage.

Jerry Jones can have absolute control and mediocrity or he can be an owner who consults with but defers to a good GM and probably has more success.

Jones played at Arkansas. Why he thinks that make him qualified to access players is beyond me. Some experience in one area of a sport does not transfer acuity to another area. If he was any good, it would have been apparent by now.

It's sad....there were some good proven coaches floating around 18 months ago, most notably Jeff Fisher and Bill cowher....but I doubt any self respecting coach with a proven record would want to play for Jones...same for the GM position. There's a lot of talent on that team, but talent needs a good coach to make them run smoothly. Garret hasn't figured it out yet, and Jones definetly doesn't have a clue. Great opening game but I'm not holding my breath for them ever again. Jones is determined to make the cowboys the Cleveland browns of the southwest.
