The theme of the September contest is The Color Purple.
Creative photo enhancement is allowed but not required.

The top two vote getters in each thread will advance to the finals along with the next four highest vote getters overall.

Preliminary Round will run for 72 hours.
Finals will be posted shortly thereafter and will run for 72 hours.

24. The Wild Things in this photo are perennial "Hyssop"

I planted some of these purple flowers last fall when I bought some plants on sale not knowing quite what they were...they are very sturdy.

I voted for Chincoteague. Spent some time there long ago over 3 summer holidays...

I loved it there and hope they haven't lost a lot of their magnificent beach.
