Pot-heads hated Sen. Morse of Colorado, too.

Ok, now that the headline got your attention. Here is the article.

http://m.csindy.com/coloradosprings/blogs/Post?basename=marijuana-sen-morse-named-worst-legislator-of-2013&day=09&id=IndyBlog&month=08&year=2013

You may have heard that Colorado Springs Sen. John Morse has been winning friends and influencing people in the gun-toting community. But there are others anxious to tell the former law-enforcement officer how they feel about him — the Marijuana Policy Project, for one.

So, today, the Washington, D.C.-based advocacy group that funded the majority of the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol issued its list of the Worst Legislators of 2013. Besides Morse, there's only one other Democrat on the list — Florida Rep. Darryl Rouson, who apparently "sponsored a successful bill to ban the sale of pipes and bongs, which he referred to as 'utensils of death.'"

and the issues in the rest of the world seem to be fucking oblivious to them. Morse lost by around 300 votes, I wonder how many potheads turned a knife in him? What they get is a republican who will screw them if not for a democratic majority left in the Colorado legislature.

Low turnout means the bastards win every time. If the Democratic Party had put a little effort into GOTV maybe the results would have been different.

We outspent the recall people by an insane margin. We just flat-out lost.

The people were not motivated to vote for a gun banning pot-hating authoritarian asshole.

On edit: I am not claiming him to he an asshole. I am attempting to express the way people may have felt.

divisive and intimidation - gun folks are scary and some are afraid to stand up.

Not having mail ballots was a big problem

Most people I know are gunners. I might be the only person I know that does not own a gun.... And I live in California, and Colorado is TEN TIMES worse..... I have owned guns in the past though, and have been a pot smoker ever since whenever. And for a long time, I supported pro gun positions.... Sadly that changed.

Guns are prevalent in society. More now than ever. So it only makes sense that stoners, or Catholics, teachers or even camel racers all majorally support gun positions.

One of the biggest issues around the MMJ community is the taxation of retail marijuana up to 15%. Morse sponsored that one. Now it has become an issue before us this November (Amendment AA). That is insane. I and many others believe it should be just taxed like alcohol and cigarettes, but instead has gone too far on that one.

I will be renewing my license for one more year as many of the MMJ communities are strongly recommending to stay in compliance while 2014 sorts itself out. Amendment AA will probably be defeated.

He figured that if everyone who liked guns and everyone who liked dope got together, they'd be a majority.

Guess which one we liked?
