Freeper reactions to the 7 Republican Senators that voted guilty

One of the posters said that those 7 were worth voting for and received a lot of blowback. Here are a couple of the posts from that thread.

I don’t what care what agenda he forwarded. Whatever good he did was blown on Jan. 6th and everything he did leading up to it. Conservatives support for Trump was a pact with the devil from the very beginning.

So you add to your original disgusting slander with even more grossly offensive slander not just against Trump but conservatives in general. You have proven yourself to be an immoral, disgusting person who has no place here nor among decent, moral conservatives who are overwhelming good practicing Christians (and sometimes Jews or other good religious people). You have joined with the propagandists trying to dehumanize and slander and outrageously lie about both Trump and his fellow conservatives at a time when the leftists are doing all they can to eliminate free speech, free religion, and the right to bear arms and to institute one-party rule. You have no right at this point to claim to be on the side of conservatives—if you even do try to make that claim at this point.

Maybe you should examine your own soul before slandering your decent fellow Americans with immoral nonsense about selling their souls to the devil. Yours is the most disturbing and saddening comment I’ve ever read on Free Republic, precisely because you do not appear to be a newbie troll as one would expect and may even have at one point been an ally of conservatives. Do you not see that calling Trump the devil and dehumanizing and grossly slandering his overwhelmingly decent, pro-American, genuinely conservative, law-abiding, pro-law and order, pro-fair elections supporters you have taken a disturbing immoral position yourself?

There have been several hundred assaults on Trump supporters since 2015 and it is precisely slanderous, deeply dishonest rhetoric likely yours that has caused and excused those assaults. There is at least as much evidence backing a claim like that (I’d say more) than of the claims you made.

That post isn’t very shocking (and it says next to nothing about their reactions to the 7 Republicans who voted to convict).
