(45,274 posts)I don't recall seeing posts from "DFP," but maybe it's just an individual using those initials, coincidentally or not.

(45,274 posts)There was just a discussion of the possibility that Nance is back in mufti.

All I have to do is start a thread and speculate.
"There was just a discussion".
That wasn't a discussion. It was a smear job.

KittyWampus
(55,894 posts)no longer posts here specifically because of this stupid kind of crap?
it isn't enough that the sick jackals on DU decided to use Prosense as their punching bag, now apparently they've decided to move on the a well loved DU'er who seldom posts here anymore.
This is why I rarely come here anymore.

(110,217 posts)It's just another group of progressive Democrats who wanted less caustic discussions, and many of them are also on DU.
KittyWampus
(55,894 posts)by helping publicize a website ostensibly for Democrats that isn't a cesspool like DU.

(110,217 posts)There are probably a lot of other names that would be familiar to you.

(13,877 posts)"Adams, in his brilliantly funny Hitchhikers Guide series, told the story of the megacomputer Deep Thought who spent seven-and-a-half million years working on the answer to the ultimate question of life, the Universe, and everything. Deep Thought famously came up with the answer to this weighty query: 42."
I've wondered what the cost to the public...House member's salaries, aides, utilities, etc. for these useless panderings to the craven wing of the Republicans.

Alright, DFP, I'll go in through the emergency airlock.

did you know that?

(22,871 posts)site is certainly suspect and devious. It couldn't be as simple as,oh I don't know, someone who posts on DFP posting the same stuff here too.

MineralMan
(150,885 posts)It seems to me. It is a callout of a DUer, and is inappropriate in GD. No website can post on DU. Only people can post here, so the DUer in question is a DUer, not a website.
Ask in ATA.

MineralMan
(150,885 posts)Your question would be properly asked of the Administrators of the website. Callouts are not really appropriate for GD. You are simply assuming that some website is posting on DU. I don't believe that is possible, frankly. So, the DUer you're discussing is as much a member of DU as you are.
I note that your own Screen Name includes AOL. Are you AOL? I don't think so.
I have no relationship to the website at that link. I'm not interested in shutting down discussion. If I were, I would not have as many posts as I do.

(27,787 posts)DFP is a web site for Democrats.
I have an account here, and I also have one there.
It sounds crazy ... but I have accounts on some other sites too.
The internet is wild!!!!!

(9,766 posts)is a guy that got banned as a disruptor from DU under his former user name (NJMaverick) .

(150,885 posts)This is way over the top, it seems to me.
The Meta Forum is no longer available on DU. And for good reason.
Gormy Cuss
(30,884 posts)A simple Google search will net you that information.
http://democratsforprogress.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=14934
Now, that's not proof that it's the same person nor that NJMaverick is the person posting here as DemocratsForProgress but what Vanje wrote is not idle speculation since a number of DFP members are/were DUers and are using the same identity over there.
Skinner/admin allows zombies as long as the zombies behave and don't reveal the TS'ed identity or misbehave. AFAIK speculating on who's a zombie isn't disallowed either.

pnwmom
(110,217 posts)he represents the site here on DU. He doesn't. I was around when DUers who were tired of vitriol were setting it up -- and there is no individual who represents the website called "Democrats for Progress," either here or elsewhere; just a collection of individuals who post on that site, many of whom also post here (when they can stomach it.)
