(12,530 posts)Is that Jerry Garcia in the top-left corner?
I see Jimi.
John Lennon
Elton John
Dylan
Bowie (bottom, just right of center??)
I see the 4 lads doing the Abbey Road walk
Janis Joplin
Is that Frampton up by the Aerosmith logo?
Stones lips
Elvis
Who is that in the right-center with the guitar and the patchwork-looking jacket?
I think your son does great work. Thanks for posting.

(102,778 posts)collage. I'm glad he's already sold it, hope he got what he expected from it.
It's a nice brain puzzle for some of us!
I'm guessing one a couple-few other images I see but there are three I can't be sure of that haven't been mentioned yet;
Carole King
Otis Redding
Eric Clapton-elder
and the lead guy from the Doors-don't know why I have a brain fart on his name at the moment.
Nice work, though.

(5,105 posts)Does he do commercial work? Is he very young, and/or has he been to art school? He could have a very bright future as an artist/illustrator. This kind of talent is rare these days.
If he works alone, as opposed to with a studio, he should definitely seek out international representation.
Well done!
B Calm
(28,762 posts)in his spare time he does commission work.
xfundy
(5,105 posts)Which is virtually unheard of these days. He may or may not want to get into doing it via computer (or he fooled this old art director). Regardless, he's got a future in the industry. Just make sure he doesn't get a big head: those are killers.
DUmail me if you want to hear more of my thoughts.

(29,080 posts)I like how it seems to emanate from John Lennon's eyes. The Abbey Road scene, the yellow brick road as well...Janice...Jim Morrison through the eyes of a wild mustang...At first I thought it was Elvis then changed my mind....springsteen...Bob Marley...Jerry Garcia...the hot tongue...elton john...hendrix with the symbol for the artist formerly known as Prince on his face...dylan...jagger...a Pink Floyd symbol...Eric Clapton...neil young in the cowboy hat? I love how the elements dissolve into each other.
How old is your son? He should post his art online. I help edit a print literary magazine, and we would publish something this cool.

(28,762 posts)He has his own website, but I don't think he's updated it in years.
