Limbaugh and his apostles will take to the airwaves to whine about how incredibly unfair it is that Ms. Fluke is "given" all this time to air her grievances and mount her baseless attacks on poor, misunderstood Rush Limbaugh, who doesn't stand a chance of getting his side of the story told.

It will be an outrage, suitable for comment from the heretofore mute Republicans in Congress. They dare not say anything against the bully, but they'll defend the bully, who hardly has any means at his disposal to defend himself. Well, other than three hours every day on his radio show, but really, is this anything like a fair fight? Poor, beleaguered Rush!

Here she has as her ad for MSNBC one about how women have been empowered since she became a journalist and this sexist idiot comes on her show and makes that crack about "gals" and aspirin. That comment stunned her and made her realize how off the wall the right wing is on women's issues.

I would bet that she will spend the rest of this election season pushing women's causes!

That contraception should be legal and widely available, that women using contraception are not sluts and whores but mothers and sisters and daughters and all good people, NOT immoral. That using contraception (rather than having an unwanted pregnancy) is RESPONSIBLE. YOU are not having to pay for it--we are making sure that insurance companies cover it, that is all.

Oh, there may have been a few anachronistic and unreasonable fundamentalist types that still hated it, but the concensus was contraception is GOOD! Even 98% of Catholics use birth control. Are they all immoral sluts? Really?

Now get over it, Caveman. It's the 21st century and women have been free for 50 years.

so, it sounds like personal responsibility is never discussed. it's not like pregnancy is a disease. this isn't cancer we're talking about, or some illness her insurance refuses to pay for. she's choosing to have a very active sex life. good for her. she should pay for it, that's all. it shouldn't be someone else's responsibility.
that's like someone deciding they're going to go skydiving & demanding someone else pay for the secondary parachute. if they can't afford to be safe/responsible in their extra-curricular activity, don't do it. that seems to be common sense.

You run in here and make up all kinds of stuff, without knowing a single fact. Who? When? Where?

Just know that this has nothing to do with you or your tax money (which you seem SO worried about). And everything to do with her own private stuggle with insurance coverage. Now that you know that, maybe you can focus on something more important.

You have made the case that you agree with Rush Limbaugh viz. "Birth Control = Slut."

No one here takes kindly to this attitude, and no one will be swayed by your argument. In the reality-based community, we believe that using birth control is a HIGHLY responsible act. We also believe that, because we pay our private insurers (via our workplace or college insurance plans) for our health care coverage, those insurers should cover whatever prescriptions our doctors deem necessary. We further believe that our employers/schools should not be interested in our sex lives insofar as we are not doin' it in the office or the classroom.

Bye.

In fact, you're incredibly dull. I wouldn't mind your incredible ignorance if you actually bothered to reply to the posts asking how you, in any way, end up paying for this contraception. But having an intelligent debate isn't your goal, I'm guessing nothing intelligent is ever your goal. You should know that I voted to NOT censor your posts, I think it's a good idea to combat your special kind of idiocy, not by censoring it, but by addressing it. You don't feel fit to respond in kind. It's OK though, intelligent debate requires, you know, intelligence.
