AutoZone has pulled its ads! All because I emailed them....or at least it feels that way.
This is empowering.

(5,609 posts)and keep up the pressure, everyone! Businesses don't like to lose money, and the loss of their good name and the public goodwill that follows is positively nightmarish for any profit-making enterprise.

(3,363 posts)When it comes to Limbaugh, they all seem to say their ads are run in "error." I recall other sponsors -- when called on the carpet -- responding the same way.

(4,291 posts)Every compnay knows EXACTLY where their ads are running. They account for every penny and demand to see "traffic logs" to see when and where the ads are placed. I'm in the biz and these are ad agency buys, every second of air time is accounted for.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
